Naive and well-meaning hillbilly Will Stockdale is drafted into air force and his simple nature gets him in trouble times and times again.
Will Stockdale, simple and naive young man living on the secluded farm with his father is drafted into Air Force. His nature from start is getting him in trouble with Sergeant King, who is his commanding officer. He assigns Will to latrine cleaning duty presenting it as a reward and Will is very proud of his achievements in that field. At least until visiting officer points out that it is a punishment. Nevertheless well-meaning Will tries to please Sergeant King and each time he puts him in trouble.
Simple comedy that takes place in the air force military base, where recruits from whole country are sent to serve the country. Among them are people sometimes naive, sometimes ruthless and sometimes just misguided. Simple comedy of mistakes based on the stage play and few years later turned into short-living comedy series. Overall it has dated rather badly, just like most of the comedies from 1950s.
