German spy discovers the secret of Allies preparations for D-Day and is desperate to pass the information to Berlin in time.
In 1944 German agent Needle gains the knowledge that located in East Anglia the First United States Army Group under command of General Patton is just a ghost army - tanks and planes made of paper or rubber. This means that the only possible place for Allied invasion is Normandy, but his orders are that he has to provide the knowledge to Hitler himself. He starts the risky operation of evacuation from United Kingdom, but storm prevents him from being picked up by submarine. Instead he ends up on a small Storm Island near Scotland, where paralysed ex-RAF pilot lives with his wife and kid.
Film based on Ken Follett novel Storm Island is more a spy thriller than war movie, but since it is all set during World War II it is worth seeing, especially since it takes place on a picturesque British island.
