Still ongoing civil war in Somalia that started when a coalition of local clan-based groups ousted the nation’s long-standing military regime. The fights between different clans and later between the national army and Islamic insurgent groups still are going on despite the UN and United States forces intervention in 1990s and help provided by African Union countries. Since 2010 the Federal Government of Somalia started the offensive to regain control over the areas, but with time the local Islamic groups were united by the Al-Qaeda and other terrorist or terrorist-like organizations and the conflict still continues....
