Based on true ride of German U-Boat that sneaked into biggest port of Royal Navy.
September 1939, the World War 2 has just started and the German navy headquarters is looking for spectacular success to boost up morale. They come up with most daring raid - they want the submarine to infiltrate the biggest harbor of Royal Navy, Scapa Flow on the Orkney Islands. And they choose the man to complete the mission - Commander Prien and his submarine U-47.
German war movie depictint the most daring mission of U-Boats throughout the World War 2, the raid on Scapa Flow, the most important harbor for Royal Navy. The movie is, just like Sharks and Little Fish (Haie und Kleine Fische), mixture of original material and bits taken from wartime documentaries. Although they are used with more sense, still usually they just are too different from rest of the material not to be spotted.
