Captain Blackadder in trenches somewhere in France will do anything to avoid another push through no man
Blackadder Goes Forth is part of Blackadder comedy series that is placed in the trenches on the Western Front during World War I. It shows the everyday life of the British officers and soldiers that are trying to survive against all odds with their superiors probably mentally ill or completely incompetent. Captain Edmund Blackadder is veteran of the Africa campaign and all he cares about is how to avoid joining another insane push down the no man’s land. Naive George still believes in all the patriotic propaganda and joined the army as a volunteer. But here, in the trenches, he is about to find out just how bad the war looks like.
Blackadder is more comedy than actually war story, but with intelligent humour from Richard Curtis and Ben Elton it is definitely worth to watch. Very good cast, witty plots create a unique atmosphere.
