Small Australian commandos unit lands on a Pacific island on a mission to find survivors from plane crash.
Small unit consisting five men is dispatched from submarine in kayaks and lands on one of the islands on Southwest Pacific. The men are commandos from Z Special Force (a joint Australian, British and New Zealand commando unit) and their mission is to find survivors from American plane that crashed on the hill somewhere on the island.
Interesting cast (including young Mel Gibson and Sam Neill), not bad plot, but the movie lacks reality and sometimes comes really close to being another cheap adventure flick from the 1980s. Overall it isn’t actually a bad movie (plot reminds f.e. Where Eagles Dare), but could have been much better if the creators would put some more reality into it and remove some of the scenes that looks like first fitting for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s "Commando".
