Classic KOEI game that was a unique experience - as Genghis Khan we take part in his campaign to unify all the Mongol tribes or the campaign to conquer the known world after Mongols have became the horde. While the game did not have impressive graphics or special effects the complexity of the game and the constant fear of collapse of the whole operation made this a very unique game.
We take care of every aspect of our kingdom, from assigning people to agricultural jobs to arranging the marriages of our kids to create alliances, from trading goods to preparing military operations. In each aspect of our activities we have to take under consideration plenty of factors, which makes Genghis Khan a game that is hard to master. For example if we begin the military campaign we have to choose the number of soldiers we will take, the structure of our units and food supplies we will take - more food will give us more time for the operation without being forced to pillage the area or hunt for food, but at the same time the food we will take will not be available to the citizens back home, the soldiers we take will not be able to guard your own kingdom, which is important since once other tribes learn about your campaign they will try to take over control of your own area.
Despite not very impressive outlook Genghis Khan was one of the best early grand strategies that kept the player constantly on his toes.
